The tone control is a low-pass filter that rolls off high frequencies from the fuzz signal, allowing you to smooth its aggressive edge for a warmer, more vintage-style fuzz tone.

Octave Up Fuzz Adds Retro Flavor

In addition to its gnarly fuzz tones, the Lizard King produces a retro octave-up fuzz effect. The octave control blends in fuzzed-out upper octave tones for a sound reminiscent of fuzz pedals from the late 1960s and early ’70s.
