The Rupert Neve Designs Portico II Master Buss Processor delivers unparalleled sonic control for mixing and mastering applications. Created by the legendary Rupert Neve, this 2U rackmount processor provides five bands of EQ, high- and low-pass filters, compressor, limiter, and level control. With analog circuitry and precision digital control, it offers an array of tone-shaping abilities for subtle enhancement or dramatic creative effect. Whether you’re a producer, engineer, or musician, the Portico II Master Buss Processor lets you realize your vision with professional-grade audio processing.
The Portico II Master Buss Processor features a five-band EQ with sweepable frequency bands, including high- and low-shelving filters. With a range of +/-6 dB, these filters allow you to adjust lows and highs. The three mid bands span from 150 Hz to 3.5 kHz, granting precise control over the midrange frequencies that shape your mix’s tone and clarity. An EQ bypass switch lets you compare EQ’ed and unprocessed signals.
The compressor and limiter section provides transparent dynamics control using an opto-electronic design. With variable ratio, threshold, attack, and release controls, you can refine dynamics for a polished, cohesive sound. The peak limiter prevents clipping at the output stage, allowing you to achieve higher levels without distortion. An in/out switch lets you bypass compression when desired.
12 dB/octave high-pass and low-pass filters allow you to roll off frequencies below 30 Hz and above 15 kHz. Removing inaudible low-end rumble and high-end harshness results in a cleaner, tighter mix. Continuously variable cutoff frequencies provide flexibility in tailoring your mix’s frequency range.
The output level control, with a range of -20 to +10 dB, allows you to optimize signal level for your equipment chain. Accurate LED metering displays input and output levels, compressor gain reduction, and limiter activity, providing visual feedback for precise control of dynamics and levels.
